October is finally reaching its end, with Halloween in just a few days away. I have to say, for the “Adri Month,”1 it had been quite eventful, both good and bad. It started on a really bad note, but near the end, the bad note eventually faded and the end of the month gave me new, but small, blessings.
I got two callbacks for two job openings that I applied for2 for the interview. I already had my first job interview last Wednesday and my second one is scheduled in mid-November. I do hope and pray that I would get one of them, as they are full-time jobs. At the same time, I do hope that I can finally find myself closer to my dream job. I think we all know what that is, right? ☺
Looking over the current theme of this blog, both front end and back end, even though this was the first time that I had a blog theme looking like this, I felt that the time for a new change has finally arrived. I had been quiet lately since the last time I blogged here because I’m already in the works of building the next theme. I haven’t gotten far just yet, as I am doing some trial runs on three free WordPress (starter) theme frameworks available now: Cherry Framework, Runway, and Gantry. I thought about going back to using Ultimatum again, but it’s still a difficult framework to begin with. Maybe I’ll use Ultimatum for the revamping of LVI!
I’ve realized that this blog is the most frequently visited among all the sites I currently own and maintain right now. I know I’m not very good at marketing, and I’m not very good with networking with other like-minded bloggers, but I’m doing all I can to reach out. In a way, lately, I feel that I’ve been trying to reach out to the wrong demographic, as many of them build sites for fun and don’t care about the “latest technology” when it came to building sites. There’s nothing wrong with building sites for fun, but I just wish that they can come by, especially with The NINPOJineous, in which only a very few handful (friends, of course) come and visit. In fact, I thought about moving The NINPOJineous to its own domain.3 How’s http://ninpojineous.ninja sound? 😆
I started reading on the Runway Framework, specifically. If I master building child themes using Runway, I can even export child themes as stand-alone themes based on Runway. I may even start offering a few of them for free or sell them. Maybe I can use the ninpojineous.ninja as my upcoming “shop” theme?4
I’m still at my planning stages right now for the new theme. I sort of took a break from my Ruby on Rails Blueprint because I wanted to focus more on what I have right now.
On the sidenote...
- birthday was on 10/14 [↩]
- seasonal though… I hope it would become permanent one day… [↩]
- I purposely created as subdomain for this blog/tutorial as I wanted it to be part of my portfolio domain to showcase my knowledge and “expertise” of what I displayed on my portfolio. [↩]
- I still want an Etsy shop though to sell some items featuring my art and all ^^ [↩]
